Slovo Park

Slovo Park is an informal settlement located between Eldorado Park and Nancefield Industrial Park. At present there are 142 Muslims residing in Slovo Park. As many of the Muslims staying here are ‘reverts’ to Islam, there aren't many complete Muslim families. At present all financial assistance is offered by an anonymous donor who, in addition to erecting the Masjid, sees to its maintenance and staff. There is no need for anyone to collect for this Masjid as other functions and activities are seen to by the EPMC.

Primary Madressah

Muslims only represent 15% of the population of Eldorado Park. With the high number of inter-religious marriages, converts and Muslims being scattered all over Eldorado Park, the afternoon Madressah not only serves to educate Muslim children with the fundamentals of Islam but is also a lifeline to ensure that the identity and beliefs of a Muslim are engraved on impressionable individuals. In addition to the 4 centres run in partnership with the LMA, 5 new centres were opened on the 18th January 2016 exclusively under the umbrella of The EPMC in those areas furthest from the Masaajid.

High School Madressah

Madressah for High School students was introduced on the 6th February 2016 to provide further Islamic Education to High School Learners. We felt it necessary to provide this service as High School students face the dilemma of having to attend Madressah and studying and sadly, but true, the Madressah is often sacrificed for their secular education often with detrimental consequences to both. This is a 3-year course that covers core subjects as: Aqeedah, Fiqh, Islamic History, Surahs, Duaas, Akhlaaq, etc..

High School Tuition

On the 1st March 2017, we initiated tuition for High School Learners, targeting Grades 8&9. we specifically chose the following subjects:  Maths  English  Natural Science &  Economic Management Sciences At present we have 8 teachers

Hifz Classes

Hifz Classes were started at the Green Masjid back in 2010, catering for part-time Hifz Students. In 2016 we have extended the hours of the Hifz Classes to include both full-time Hifz students as well as part-time girl students. We eagerly anticipate the graduation of our very first home-grown Hifz student before Ramadhaan 2017. In 2017 we introduced Saturday Classes to ensure that the Hifz Students do not miss out on their essential Maktab education. Most of these students join the High School Madrassah Classes on Saturdays.
